Cozy Simple Head Cowl

It’s that time of year again where the biting cold wind can be felt against your nose and cheeks. I knit myself this cowl to stay cozy and warm.

Needles

US 8 ( 5.00 mm) double points

Yarn

2 skeins of Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran, colourway 21244 Pool

Or any other Aran weight yarn that feels soft (not scratchy) against your face.

Pattern

CO (Cast On) 110 stitches. I like to cast on over two needles instead of one to make the edge more flexible. There are other cast on methods that will also give you more flexibility.

Divide the stitches between 4 needles (28, 28, 28, 26), and join (careful not to twist).

K2P2* rib for 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm).

Cast off and weave in ends.

* For those not familiar with english names for stitches K (knit) is the stitch that makes a bump on the back, and P (purl) is the stitch that makes a bump on the front.
